  • Overview

    The VP of Manufacturing is responsible for the leadership of all domestic manufacturing facilities to achieve short term results and to collaborate with other functions to develop long term strategic goals and initiatives.


    Based in the corporate office, this position will build relationships with direct reports throughout the country and with peers and key cross-functional stakeholders. Areas of focus will include creating and maintaining safe and sustainable work environments, effective execution of capital projects, inventory control, continuously improving efficiency and financial performance through Lean manufacturing principles and contributing to strong customer service results. 


    • Build and keep current strategic plans for all sites in the network covering capacity planning, infrastructure requirements, cost containment, labor management and initiatives required for continuous improvement
    • Work with direct reports to create a “preferred place to work” culture at the plants
    • Responsible for all conversion activities to deliver finished goods in accordance with demand
    • Ensure that the plants operate in a safe and sustainable manner and build a culture of continuous improvement in these areas
    • Drive quality performance, efficiencies and waste reduction through Lean Manufacturing principles
    • Tightly manage COGS through cost control, labor utilization, freight management, etc.
    • Provide strong leadership to direct reports at the plants and with stakeholders across company functions
    • Effectively manage working capital and capital expenditure projects


    • B.S. degree in Engineering/Industrial Management or similar
    • 15+ years experience in manufacturing processes including multi-plant leadership responsibility
    • Experience in FDA monitored environments
    • Manufacturing strategy development and execution
    • Factory automation
    • A successful track record of being able to establish and achieve performance goals and objectives for safety, quality, cost control, manufacturing efficiency and process development
