Director, Global Indirect Procurement

Job Location US-NJ-Ewing


The Director will build and develop a high performing team including 3rd party resources accountable indirect materials and services on a global basis. This person will help drive transformational change within the current Procurement organization to enable significant value creation, including enabling innovation, managing supply risk and driving sourcing strategies.  This person will also develop strong business relationships to achieve top-line and bottom-line company objectives and provide strong leadership within the organization to improve talent management, expand capabilities, and enable stronger supplier collaboration & innovation.  The Director will lead a team of up to 20 including 3rd party resources and drive programs across procurement that will lead the delivery of cost savings and cash flow.


  • Lead the development, communication, and implementation of Procurement objectives, operating philosophies, business strategies, and vision for all indirect materials and services
  • Lead the team to optimally manage and drive maximum value on the total external spend of indirect materials and services for C&D to include categories such as Marketing, IT, Human Resources, Legal, Plant Machinery & Equipment, Logistics etc.
  • Build indirect team capabilities and foundation to deliver financial and non-financial results
  • Set global strategies aligned to business needs in partnership with Functional and Regional Leaders
  • Maximize cost savings and value creation with key suppliers to improve C&D’s profitability and support top-line growth
  • Establish and manage relationships with suppliers who can provide C&D with innovations, speed to market, continuously improved quality, and overall supply value for growth & improved financial returns


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain, or related discipline with MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years’ experience in increasingly broader procurement, business or functional roles with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership
  • 5+ years of extensive and broad managerial experience in team management
  • Leadership role in procurement transformation (People, Process, Technology)
  • Delivered step change in organizational capability, operations and financial delivery
  • ERP/P2P systems SAP/Oracle, computer software applications such as MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
