Our Category Management team is looking for a driven and resourceful Senior Manager Category Management whose action-oriented mindset will foster continued growth throughout our leading brands.

    The Senior Manager Category Management will lead a Category Management team responsible for supporting key strategic Channels, Customers, and Categories.

     

     

    The Senior Manager will lead the utilization of analytic capabilities such as loyalty card, analytic and reporting solutions and tools that elevate our influence with customers and support Customer and Sales Team objectives; influence C&D consumer and shopper research in order to better understand issues and opportunities to help lead in the creation of more comprehensive sales strategies; engage with Sales Directors over Channels and Customers supported by their team, as well as high level engagement with the Church & Dwight Marketing teams on strategic businesses.

     

    The Senior Manager Category Management will report directly to the Director of Category Management.

     

    What you’ll do:

    • Lead team of 4+ Category Managers, setting clear goals and development plans, provide ongoing coaching/feedback, career pathing
    • Be trusted subject matter expert, broadening our level of influence and interaction with retailers across strategic categories
    • Lead in the identification of top level growth opportunities, with focus on assortment and shelving, utilizing credible insights to develop selling stories
    • Utilize Loyalty Card, Panel, Shopper insights, assortment & POG tools to deliver unique insights
    • Share insights and learning on key initiatives and executions, including new items, to influence future strategies
    • Monitor competitive activity and recommend solutions to meet/counter competitive threats to business

     

    What you’ll need:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA is a plus
    • 8-10 years of experience in the CPG Industry required
    • 5-7 years of experience in Category Management is required, with experience in a Direct Sales role a plus
    • Minimum of 2+ years people management experience, preferably managing a team
    • Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated data experience is required
    • Nielsen Advanced Analytical capabilities are required
    • POG software (like JDA) understanding and proficiency is required
    • Loyalty card experience is a plus
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and creative problem solving skills
    • Strong leadership, presentation, and influencing skills
